A Lambeau Leap Frog
0Tonight the Vikings head into one of the toughest venues in all of sports. Madison Square Garden, Wrigley Field, The Montreal Forum…all of these amazing places send chills down the spine, and strike an immediate awe struck state to their visitors… Lambeau Field is no exception to this, in fact, it is the standard. And so our Vikings have quite the task ahead of them tonight. The one thing in our favor, our quarterback played in that stadium for 16 years for the green and gold. He played in 2009 with as much emotion as a former player could hold for his former team and had a great game. The Vikings were victorious and went on to win the NFC North Championship. Tonight’s game isn’t as emotional for Brett, but it holds more significance for the squad. We win and we get to .500 at 3-3 and we would lambeau leap frog the Packers into 2nd place. And with the Bears struggling to keep teams from destroying Jay Cutler, a win would put us in great shape to make a run at the division again.
The Packers have a lot of injuries on both sides of the ball. But Clay Matthews returns to the field, as well as Al Harris coming off the PUP list and Brandon Chillar. We must make sure that we spread the ball around the field. This will open things up for Adrian to run crazy, something most teams have been able to do against the Pack. Brett Favre will try to pick apart a banged up secondary. And who can forget, the man who made his name on this very field 12 years ago on Monday Night Football, Randy Moss. His performance against the Packers in ’98 changed their entire off-season draft strategy, forcing them to draft defensive backs with their first 3 picks. Moss changed the game that season, and we are hoping that he can once again change the fortune of this season for the purple and get this team back into contention for the division. Nobody has decided to up and run away with the NFC, so this is why, tonight, we have to beat our most hated rival. SKOL VIKINGS LETS GO!
